The Couples Intensive Weekend Retreat
This is a 2-day intensive workshop for couples who want to jumpstart their relationship and take it to the next level of intimacy and connection. Focus is on developing effective communication, identifying their losing strategies and changing those to winning strategies, identifying old self-defeating patterns and replacing them with more relational behaviors, as well as assessing their attachment style and helping it work for them instead of against them.
Principles of Terry Real’s Relational Life Therapy, and Attachment and Trauma Theories are used in this experiential work.
The goal of the intensive is to pinpoint and eliminate the obstacles that get in the way of couples reaching their full potential, and optimizing their emotional connection.
For therapists who feel stuck with a specific couple, this retreat would be ideal to help the couple advance to the next level of therapy.
This workshop is held in an intimate group setting of only 10 couples. This group format is very effective for the didactic and experiential work, providing couples with an opportunity to meet and learn from other participants.
Group Facilitator: Licia Freeman, M.A., M.Ed. LMFT, Master Level Relational Life Therapist
