About You Getting The Help You Need – Video Therapy Available.
Sometimes, life becomes an endless loop of disappointments, heartbreaks and let-downs. When uncertainty is present, especially, stress increases, fear takes over.
You’re doing the same thing over and over again, getting the same results, and it feels like there’s no escape in sight. It’s easy to feel hopeless.
Sometimes we just don’t know what else to do.
I am in this with you.
My intention is to help as many people as possible to live a happy, fulfilling life and relationship, in the shortest time possible.
Your time with me will NOT be a monologue. Our work together is interactive.
With my training and years of experience, I trust that I will have the right tools to help you change the ineffective patterns that cause you to repeat behaviors that bring the same undesired results.
I can help you get unstuck. We will find the right skills and strategies to put in place that will lead you to reach your goals.
My office is your refuge. Even if virtually.
During our first session, we’ll explore what you’d like to get out of our meetings, what got you to where you are, and will set up a route to get you from here to there.
That may sound very simple, but it takes hard work. We’ll be undoing certain patterns and replacing them with brand new ones.
That’s no easy task, but I’ve been helping people do just that for 32 years, and I trust that I can help you, too.
A Little About Me
Originally from Brazil, hence bilingual Portuguese, I originally came to the U.S. with a scholarship from Rotary International to pursue graduate school.
Because of my love for learning, and my fascination with the field of Psychology, I ended up getting a few of those degrees: Humanistic Psychology, Educational Psychology, and Clinical Psychology.
From there, I went on to specializing in working with couples and families, and was trained at Stanford University, in Palo Alto, CA, at the Couples Institute in Menlo Park, CA, at the Relational Life Institute in Boston, MA, and at the International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals in Phoenix, AZ. I feel fulfilled helping people improve their relationships, and remove old patterns that get in the way of their achieving their goals.
I am honored to work with my clients on developing healthy boundaries and feeling loved and understood.
During my free time, I enjoy hanging out with family and friends, cooking new recipes, hiking beautiful trails, kayaking stunning lakes and rivers, and trying to make a dent in the high pile of books that “I just had to get.”
